Great shop wide aisle good helpful staff
The stores great with a good choice. Don't understand why my hubby couldn't have his croissant in the cafe served cold though!
It is an excellent store with good food and very helpful staff! My last visit was made a lot of fun with the friendly lady in the caf and her good natured joking, and, when trying to choose the right flat screen TV for a friend I was with, a young assistant called Alfie was extremely helpful and patient and (like all the staff I talked with) he was personable and chatty. There is an increasing awareness of the amount of loneliness in society, and so for me, as a single elderly person, it makes a big difference to go to a shop where one feels as if it's the staff members' pleasure to assist! Thus praise also goes to the manager for choosing such good staff.
Originally gave them 5 stars BUT they have gone way down hill of late. We shop less and less there as more and more original good stuff disappears to be replaced by same same convenience store junk. Lately, I got overcharged by 40p and they said "Oh, that offer is not valid any more", so why not take the 40p out of the manager responsible's pay packet for leaving the offer on display and give it to the complaining customer? No? OK, s you. And do not bother complaining to head office either; go around in circles, no response, waste of time vs the refund / compensation.
Appalling service in the in store cafe. Big advert for two fish and chip meals for 8. Queued for nearly twenty minutes to be served but only 3 customers in front. When it was finally our turn to order we were told there was no fish! Why not put up a notice saying sorry no fish? No apology. Lots of people behind us had left the queue presumably because of the long wait. Very unimpressed. Went to customer service to mention the problem only for the same thing to happen there!! Queued there and both assistants were serving the same person. When one of them eventually became free she turned to someone after us in the queue and served them! Wont be going back.
