Lovly food great service yum yum
Having just moved back to north Devon from Dublin, I was terrified to be returning to a veritable culinary wasteland. Evertest Gurkha Chef however has proven themselves to be above par not just for the area, but for any Nepalese restaurant. The restaurant is tiny and unassuming and consists of 6 tables, which occupies half of the space, the sizzling kitchen dominates the other. The food was consistently delicious and bursting with flavour - I highly recommend the Sunsari Chicken and especially the Solukhumbu Ko Timmur (yes, I copied and pasted from their online menu! The effort was worth it if you try this dish!). The lamb in the latter was so soft and tender, it could not have been more melt in the mouth. Best of all its bring your own booze! A total winner and we will be returning here next date night.
Very friendly, lovely food and a very nice atmosphere would definitely come back again I would recommend to anyone. top place!
The best restaurant! We come to Barnstaple a couple of times a year to stay with our friends that live in Barnstaple. We go to this restaurant every time without fail. The flavours are amazing and the owners are the nicest people. You must visit this restaurant!
This is a very unpresuming little place, but the food is really good, very fairly priced, the staff are friendly, and everyone there was very happy and enjoying their food. It's bring your own booze, and that's good value even with the corkage charge. I would definitely go there again. A very happy find on a rainy evening :)
