Don't use dodgy person and cars sold my mum who is old and needed small car .so had got one off him . Now money was taken had wait nine days for delivery . Then mum broke down on main road not once but twice. He don't answer his phone . Ten weeks and no registration documents from dvla, dvla have no knowledge who own this car so come on folks have reported to trading standards, if you want us a second case then we can send you more details ,but please anyone thinking about using him don't
Only wish i'd read these reviews before parting with the cash!Alex appears extremely helpful when selling you a vehicle, but as far as the warranty goes beware, he does a lot of the work himself ( even tho he's not a mechanic), which is shoddy at best, lies about jobs being done when there not and requires a lot of time and chasing up. Just took 17 days to do a rear wiper motor, washer pump, radiator, front crossmember and head gasket on the bongo i bought. Most decent mechanics could have done these jobs in under 20 hours. Head gasket only blew as he hadn't fitted the radiator correctly in the first place. Upon collecting the vehicle washer pump and rear wiper motor still not working and don't know if the head had cracked or was just the gasket. Asked for his mechanics phone number to find out, think i was given a fake number as never turned on. Probably the most stressful transaction i have ever been involved in, and would not recommend to my worst enemy!Update: Tracked down the mechanic, He confirmed that i had been given a fake phone number and that only the radiator and crossmember had been done, said the head gasket hadn't been touched and knew nothing about it. He also said that he had advised Alex that it needed the proper factory crossmember, Alex said he'd take of another bongo but that was as bad as the first so he got the mechanic to weld a piece of square 1x1 steel across the bottom.AVOID AT ALL COST.Have reported to trading standards.
