Absolutely the worst hire company I have ever dealt. Money taken. Hire van cancelled by Europcar the day before we were due to collect. Absolute bunch of con artists avoid at all costs.
An excellent service provided this morning on pick up, got car for a few days so will review further at end of hire period.
Booked and paid for a car for 5 days using national call centre. Instructed by agent to collect three hours later from Europcar at Barnstaple on Chivenor Industrial estate. On arrival, surly branch manager there said he had no car, leaving me stranded without transport 8 miles from Barnstaple. He offered no explanation or apology and refused our request to phone national call centre, his boss or another branch. He was rude, completely unhelpful and ultimately abusive. Still awaiting explanation or apology from Europcar Customer Services despite having sent them several emails. What a shameful organisation. Lesson learned: will never use Europcar Barnstaple or Europcar anywhere else again.One star flatters them.
