A 20+ staff party, great service, bar staff that actually make conversation , food was great, recommend the Double D burger. Overall a Great experience
OK, mixed review on this one. First, access for disabled people is terrible with two steps and a door that opens against you on entering. No accessible toilets downstairs and restricted access to the ones upstairs. Also, no idea who does the cleaning but they are terrible. A mixed attitude from the staff ranging from helpful and friendly to simply disinterested. No help from staff with getting a mobility scooter out of the bar despite three staff seeing us leave. Food differed from good mains to a disappointing sweet. However they have a good craft lager. One let down was the managers attitude to me sending back the waffle ( stodgy, heavy and with a chemical taste) He simply went straight to a refund and didn't want to discuss a replacement or alternative pudding, in his words "If I didn't like that one I wouldn't like another". On balance, no return to this establishment which is a shame as it could be much better and does have potential.
Good selection of drinks. Great food (sort of Tex Mex), large portions! Good place to watch sports on live TV.
Popped in for a late lunch, food and service was very good. Will definitely go again when in Barnstaple.
A lot of choice on the menu, everything from waffles to burgers. Good quality and amount that was tasty to eat. The interior is a bit pokey, with small sections of tables scattered about interlocked by hallway sections or past the bar. So at a quiet period (when we visited), it doesn't feel to open. This however could be a draw back during busy periods.All in all, we would go again.
