Lovely fresh food. Portion size perfect. Staff friendly an not too overpowering. Prices reasonable. Decor downstairs clean an tidy. Decor upstairs in the glasshouse lovely in the summer months. Bit chilly in the winter. Would happily recommend. Bookings taken and advised at busy times. Enjoy !
Nice looking place, nice buzz and atmosphere. Very well stocked bar and good staff. Food was ok but nothing special.
I was in Barnstaple for a few days on business and visited Claytons twice, once for lunch and once for dinner with a colleague. Both times, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the value was decent as well. I love the atmosphere in the place too, there's an excellent drinks selection, and an extensive menu. I'll be back if I'm ever in town again!
Great place to meet friends, not too loud, good background music, well decorated and good layout. Nice, friendly staff, good selection of drinks, especially gin! Definately recommend
