Good place with nice seating, a good selection of beers and wines and a great place to meet up.
Really nice tapas restaurant. Reasonably priced and the food is excellent. Recommend the crispy chilli beef in particular. Extensive drinks menu including cocktails and some decent local ale. One of the best eating places in Barnstaple. Regular live music events with some good local talent. Booking essential at weekends and probably advisable on other nights as this is a very popular venue.
I visited Lilico's twice during a few days in Barnstaple for business, and absolutely loved the place. Service was very friendly and quick, the tapas were delicious, and I also enjoyed a couple of tasty caipirinhas! On the second visit, with my colleague, we were served by a girl who was working her first shift at Lilico's, and I must say a particular thanks to her, as she was charming, funny, and friendly. Just what's needed after a day at work!I had a mixture of tapas: seafood, meat, and vegetarian, and truly liked everything. There is a great deal on offer with six tapas and a bottle of wine for 35, perfect for two!
Quite a mixed experience. Coffee order taken quickly and on the face of it effectively. However, it took a while to receive the correct type of coffee. The customer service left me just a bit open mouthed. When some members of our group said that they had ordered something different to what had been served our cs assistant said "well that's what was ordered". Don't feel the need to return to this establishment.
Had a lovely meal there yesterday. Tapas were delicious! Great service too. Recommend highly and will certainly visit again.
